We were featured in "Pinks All Out" in March 2008 and several of our members were featured on the show "Pass Time" that aired January 2009. That means we were on the number one and number two rated shows on Speedvision! Beat the Heat, Inc was also featured in a documentary about illegal street racing. Beat the Heat was also present for the release of the "Fast and the Furious" in England. Our President Tom Brown drove a supercharged Subaru STI and raced against drifters in England in a race called the "Fuzz and the Furious"! Beat the Heat was invited to Mannassass Virginia and Washington DC for Events on Sept 11, 2009. Everyone had a good time. This year the Beat the Heat World Finals was held at Northstar Raceway in Denton Texas. On Friday we displayed at the Gainesville Factory Outlet mall from 10 am to 3 pm then went to Northstar Raceway for some evening tuning and to give some of the local racers a chance to race against us. On saturday we started our competition with the top prize "Top Cop" going to David Tanner. The competition was tough but Dave was consistent and fast! Congratulations to David Tanner and family!
