NW Louisiana Beat the Heat, Inc. - A 501(c)(3) non-profit charity
Northwest Louisiana Chapter

The goals of Beat the Heat, Inc are to help educate the young people of our community about the problems of illegal street racing, illegal drug use and the dangers of drug impaired driving.  Our program helps to promote understanding between young people and the law enforcement community.

Beat the Heat, Inc. is a "Cops and Kids" program designed to break down the barriers between young people and the Police and give both groups the chance to interact with each other in a positive manner.  We use our vehicles as rolling billboards and as a way to "Break the Ice" and let young people know that the Law Enforcement Community is not just concerned with enforcement of the law but education of the law as well.

Our Primary Goals:

  • Keep kids in school
  • Stop illegal drug use
  • Stop impaired driving
  • Promote use of seatbelts
  • Promote racing in a safe and controlled environment
  • Educate the general public about Sanctioned Drag Racing

NO TAX DOLLARS are spent on this program.  All funds come from sponsors, individual donors or by the Officers themselves.  We DO NOT charge a fee for our appearence.  All members are volunteers and participate in this program because they wish to give something back to the community they live in.  Last year volunteer officers drove over 300,000 miles to participate in events all over the United States reaching over 1.9 million kids with our message.  NW Louisiana Officers met well over 300,000 kids themselves.  This does not include adults, tv or the news!!
